Why
I am running
I am running because I believe my experience in local church
ministry, disability services, overseas aid and national security
has put me in touch with a vast range of issues affecting all
Australians. I will be responsive to issues affecting the local
community and broader issues such as aged care, climate change,
water, housing affordability and workplace relations.
I seek to bring core values of honesty, tolerance and compassion
to Australian politics – values at the heart of the Australian
Democrats. I believe the Democrats have a proven independent voice
representing the human face of Australia and has the track record
of effectively scrutinising legislation.
Why
should you vote for me?
My broad experience and qualifications have equipped me to
represent Boothby and multicultural Australia on local, national
and international issues.
About Me
I am 45 years old and have three young adult children, Josh, Emma
and Nicole. I have lived in SA for 10 years and reside with my
partner, Michelle, in Urrbrae. I have worked for the WA Tourism
Commission in administration and finance and have been involved in
overseas aid and development.
I have been a local church minister and have qualifications in
Social Sciences, a Bachelors degree in Ministry and an Honours
degree in Theology. I also have experience in disability services
management and direct care.
Recently, I concluded as an officer with the Australian Security
Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) to study International Relations
at Flinders University and to give support to the work of the
Australian Democrats. I have done casual and volunteer work in the
office of Senator Natasha Stott Despoja.
